Minor in
Global Agricultural, Food and
Life Sciences
Dale Bumpers College offers a minor in Global Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences. The minor is designed to add an international component to any major and expand career options by strengthening cultural awareness and knowledge of global issues.
The three-hour introductory course, Introduction to Global Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences (AFLS 2003), is a survey course in global topics and issues of interest to students in all departments. A cross-disciplinary approach is used to present international perspectives in agriculture, life sciences, communications and cultural issues. The team-taught course is divided into three major units of instruction, including cultural diversity and communication, topics in agricultural and life sciences and study abroad experiences and presentations.
The study abroad options, including semester and internships, can be included in the 18-hour minor. The minor requirements and course description are included in the PDF below.
